Biography

Mr. Gutiérrez studied Mechanical Engineering degree in the Faculty of Engineering of Vitoria-Gasteiz (UPV/EHU). From the last years of the mentioned degree, he started to build his background in Computational Fluid Dynamics based on wind industry problems. Subsequently, he studied a Master of Science in Computational and Applied Mechanical Engineering (UPNA) at the same time that he worked as an intern in the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER) during one year. Since 2018, he has been working as an Aerodynamic Blade Engineer in Nordex Energy Spain S.A.U. He is currently a PhD candidate at UPNA in collaboration with TU-Delft. His research is based on the impact quantification of surface roughness modifications on wind turbine aerodynamic performance.
