Session description
Transport is one of the sectors where emissions keep increasing in Europe.
Direct electrification should be prioritised as it is the most cost-efficient way to decarbonise most of the transport sector, notably light vehicles. But for harder-to-decarbonise sectors such as aviation and maritime, renewable hydrogen will have a key role to play.
But how does it concretely translate today?
In this session we will look at concrete projects for decarbonising the transport sector from micromobility and e-scooters to electric trucks and he challenges and barriers for the electrification of these different modes of transport
