TKF - Green energy calls for green cables

Session description

TKF supplies a modern subsea cable by use of environmental friendly materials. No bitumen for armouring, and no lead for core sheath. The cable is relatively easy to recycle. Today, the recyclability result is ~60w% for equivalent applications, and ~40w% is downgraded. By use of modern techniques like pyrolysis, the recyclability can be increased to ~99w% to equivalent application. Proof of first results will be shared during presentation.
TKF’s specific subsea cable design allow the use of recycled polymers and even polymers with a negative carbon footprint. The development track and obvious impact to our resource passport will be demonstrated.
