Session description

50Hertz is one of the pioneers in offshore wind energy development in the Baltic Sea. Their work in the area began ten years ago with the Baltic 1 wind farm. Today, over 1,000 MW of wind energy is connected to the German high-voltage grid. Further projects are underway or are undergoing approval. 50Hertz wants to further harness the potential of the Baltic Sea with other partners like Energinet and is working on realising innovative technical solutions.
