Biography

Sarah Barber leads the wind energy programme at the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and is president of The Swiss Wind Energy R&D Network. She has a degree and a PhD in mechanical engineering (University of Sheffield, Cambridge University, MIT) and more than thirteen years' experience in research (ETH Zürich, Fraunhofer IWES), teaching (ETH Zürich, Hochschule Bremerhaven) and in industry (BKW FMB AG, Agile Wind Power AG) in the area of wind energy. She is also a lecturer at the University of Kassel (Online Master in Wind Energy), at the University of Oldenburg (Windstudium), at the University of St. Gallen (REM-HSG) and at HTW Chur (MAS Energiewirtschaft).
