Biography

Javier has more than twenty years of experience as consultant in power system analysis. He has performed studies for utilities, industry and promoters of renewables plants. Among other topics, his experience covers protection coordination, arc flash, harmonics, filter design, steady state and dynamic studies. As well, he has taught several technical trainings courses on power system modelling and analysis, relay coordination and harmonic analysis. His current role is as product specialist for the development of MVDC grids and the Solid State Transformer. Javier holds a Master of Science in Power Systems Engineering from the Polytechnical University in Catalonia (UPC), Spain. He holds also a PhD from the UPC and from the University of Bath, UK.
