Biography

Since 2017 he is Global Head of Business Development and M&A. Carmelo Scalone leads an international team whose main mission is the expansion of Falck Renewables S.p.A.'s portfolio and international presence. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from La Sapienza University in Rome and completed a Business Administration course at SDA Bocconi in Milan and an Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School in Barcelona. Before joining Falck Renewables in 2017, he was on the Executive Committee of EDF Energies Nouvelles in Paris, with global responsibility for Business Development. He has worked in the renewable energy sector since 2000. Between 2000 and 2007, he served as CEO of Gamesa Energía Italia in Rome and later as Executive Vice President of the Gamesa Group for the entire Mediterranean region. Between 2007 and 2013, he was Executive Vice President of the Business Development area of EDP Renewables in Madrid. He started his career at ABB, in Italy and Sweden, covering during 8 years roles of increasing responsibility, including Chief Commercial Officer in ABB Energy Automation.
