Biography

Thor Valsø-Jørgensen is the CEO of SEMAR AS and he entered this position early 2020. Semar AS, is a highly respected Structural Engineers and Marine Consultancy company based in Oslo and serving the oil & gas industry in Norway and around the world. Semar AS is partly owned by the DOF Group, with a global team of skilled professionals who, combined with a fleet of state-of-the-art, purpose-built vessels, provide services to the Oil and Gas industry across the entire offshore life cycle. Thor holds a formal education as Master of Science in Physical Metallurgy at Metallurgical Institute at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. Thor has held several managerial positions and accrued extensive management experience as from FORCE Technologies AS as Dep. Head Clean Air Technologies and also as high profiled Sales manager. Further, he was the General Manager at Fras Technologies AS and he held various positions in Parmascand AB over a period of 14 years, mainly as Senior sales manager and project engineer.
