Biography

Peter N. Johnson is a Senior Project Engineer. He actively supports solar resource data collection and validation activities, solar energy assessment, loss assumptions, and uncertainty estimates while regularly conducting research to further refine methods. Mr. Johnson has performed capital cost assessments and cash flow analysis for utility-scale solar projects and on- and offshore wind projects, managed data collection, research and development of tools, and analysis techniques to assess renewable project costs. Mr. Johnson has conducted approximately 20 on-site assessments for solar PV projects. He has also conducted due diligence reviews and feasibility studies for wind and solar projects, and served as a co-writer for solar and wind feasibility studies. His background includes familiarity with solar and wind monitoring equipment, best practices and project siting considerations in North America and abroad. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.A. degree from Gordon-Conwell.
