Biography
Dr. Roberto Chávez-Arroyo is currently working as a research scientist at UL Renewables since Jan/2020. He has been part the wind energy community for almost 7 years since he finished his PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Tecnológico de Monterrey (México) back in 2014. After that, he joined the National Renewable Energy Centre of Spain (CENER) as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow, after which he became part of CENER’s research staff until Dec/2019. He has actively participated in several European and national-funded projects such as the New European Wind Atlas (ERA-NET FP7), the Closed Loop Wind Farm Control (H2020) and the International Energy Agency Task 31, among other research and commercial activities. He has a wide experience working with numerical weather prediction models and computational fluid dynamics tools, and focuses on developing practical solutions for the wind energy industryPresentations
