Biography

Mr. Hilmer has been working in physical oceanography for over 10 years. He is currently a research scientist with Ocean Waves in Luneburg and is currently working with the Technical University of Hamburg. He studied Physical Oceanography and Global Environmental Science at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu and he has held central in a number of significant oceanography research projects involving RADAR and LIDAR for oceanographic imaging and modelling. He has published a number of papers on wave prediction and is currently actively engaged in research into wave prediction and vessel motion prediction.
