Joint letter – Call to start formal EU-UK ETS linking negotiations
Following the EU-UK Summit on 19 May, a wide group of EU stakeholders is calling on the European Commission to formally start negotiations on ETS linkage between the EU-UK. The letter also calls for the temporary, mutual disapplication of the respective CBAM systems to be applied whilst the negotiations are ongoing. This would mark a critical step toward enhanced leadership in international climate cooperation and provide much needed clarity for European industry.
