Policy influence

Participate in WindEurope’s Working Groups

WindEurope’s Working Groups are the brain of the trade association and shape policy to respond to the main challenges that your business faces.

WindEurope experts draft policy recommendations based on first-hand input from the industry and have direct access to the institutions that design the EU regulatory framework of tomorrow.

Markets and regulation

Leads WindEurope’s work and outreach on EU climate and energy policy. Promotes stable market and legislative frameworks. Works on EU-wide market design with cost-efficient integration of large shares of wind energy.
System integration

Contributes to WindEurope’s work on shaping EU priorities on: grid infrastructure developments; accompanying regulatory framework and; all technical issues relating to wind power grid integration. Discusses new market opportunities and business models for wind energy, including the use of energy storage and participation to ancillary services.
Electrification

Provides a platform to discuss market and regulatory barriers for the electrification of heating, transport and industrial processes.
Offshore

Promotes European offshore wind energy as a vital and strategic energy resource. Addresses barriers to drive down costs. Advocates for investments in offshore electricity networks.
Research & innovation (ETIP Wind)

Drives WindEurope’s work towards cost reductions in the wind industry and maintaining European technological leadership by ensuring optimal use of European research funds.
Finance

Addresses real and perceived risk elements in financing wind projects. Promotes access to finance and broadening of financing options (e.g. corporate PPAs and access to EU financing).
Sustainability

Provides a platform to discuss how to minimise waste, support recycling and reduce the carbon footprint across the supply chain. Addresses sustainability as a way to help cut costs and make the industry more competitive.
