Climate Classic Belgium & Poland – Cycle together for climate action!

You might know that WindEurope has been supporting Cycling 4 Climate (C4C) – a Dutch non-profit foundation, raising awareness and promoting action on climate change by organising cycling events across Europe.
C4C encourages people to be active and to take individual action to counter climate change. To participate in the rally (it’s not a race), participants commit to evaluate their carbon footprint and make a climate pledge. And be ready to take the challenge of cycling a long distance in one day – it’s a metaphor of the collective effort needed to address climate issues.
This September, there are two C4C events that WindEurope is supporting, both of which offer two different distances:
-
6 September in Brussels, Belgium
(60 km and 150 km routes) – Both routes go across Brussels, Wallonia and Flanders, taking you through nature protected areas and climate solutions! All funds raised will go to Belgium’s two largest conservation networks – Natagora and Natuurpunt.
-
13 September in Szczecin, Poland
(50 km and 100 km routes) – This year’s route will take participants along the Oder River – a river that, after the ecological disaster in 2022, became a symbol of alarm for all those concerned about the future of the natural environment. This choice is not only scenic, but above all symbolic – a reminder of the need to protect aquatic ecosystems and manage natural resources responsibly.
If you happen to be in Belgium or Poland on those days, join us and hundreds of other cyclists, all wearing the famous "climate stripes" jersey, riding across beautiful regions of Brussels, Wallonia and Flanders in Belgium, and Western Pomerania in Poland.
Why take part?
- Join a huge group of passionate people in a unique event that combines cycling and climate action;
- Connect with friends and colleagues who care about sustainability and love cycling;
- Enjoy breathtaking routes through beautiful, natural landscapes which make us all reflect on the importance of protecting them.
You can register solo or create a team. It’s a great way to get active for a good cause!
If you would like to create a team or become a partner of one of these two events, you can contact Lizet Ramirez for Belgium and Malgosia Zmijewska for Poland.
Enjoy your summer and we hope to see you at one of the Cycling 4 Climate events this September!
