We would like to invite you to come and see the posters at our upcoming conference. The posters will showcase a diverse range of research topics and provide an opportunity for delegates to engage with the authors and learn more about their work. Whether you are a seasoned researcher or simply curious about the latest developments in your field, we believe that the posters will offer something of interest to everyone. So please, join us at the conference and take advantage of this opportunity to learn and engage with your peers in the academic community. We look forward to seeing you there!
PO205: Enhancement of Lidar feedforward control technology through embedded wind reconstruction and preview solution
Fabrice Guillemin, Wind Turbines Control Project Manager, IFP Energies nouvelles
Abstract
The general objective for Lidar assisted control is the safeguard of the wind turbine from loads and fatigue, induced by the interaction with the wind, and the enhancement of its power production. This necessitates reliable and precise information describing the incoming wind field properties, to be made available to the controller at all sample times. Nacelle-mounted wind Lidars are now reaching these requirements, thanks to high performance embedded processing algorithms, such as the algorithm exposed in this paper, developed by IFPEN in partnership with Vaisala, and now commercially implemented and deployed in the “WindCube Nacelle TC”, as the named “WindBox” solution. This paper describes the approach and exposes performances results from experimental campaigns.
