Come meet the poster presenters to ask them questions and discuss their work

We would like to invite you to come and see the posters at our upcoming conference. The posters will showcase a diverse range of research topics and provide an opportunity for delegates to engage with the authors and learn more about their work. Whether you are a seasoned researcher or simply curious about the latest developments in your field, we believe that the posters will offer something of interest to everyone. So please, join us at the conference and take advantage of this opportunity to learn and engage with your peers in the academic community. We look forward to seeing you there!

PO125: North Sea Energy: a public private partnership for R&D on offshore energy system integration

Rene Peters, Director Gas Technology / Business Director North Sea Energy Program, TNO

Abstract

The North Sea Energy program distinguishes itself by its integral and cross sectoral system approach in which synergy of the various energy functions at sea are central. This approach incorporates perspectives in the areas of technology, market, society, ecology, spatial planning and regulations. Within the NSE program a large number of research projects are taking place based on the following starting points: * Wind-on-sea will be expanded considerably * Hydrogen plays an important role in the future energy system * CCS is part of the future energy system * Use of existing strategic gas infrastructure The goal is to deliver a roadmap for offshore system integration in the North Sea towards 2050. This roadmap will be ready for publication early 2023. The multi-disciplinary results from all phases of the North Sea Energy program are the ingredients. It will contain practical timelines for developing system integration projects over time and assessing whether the transition to the new energy system will create obstacles to aligning investment agendas with infrastructure developments, and how to resolve them. The process of developing this roadmap will be a joint effort of the partners within the consortium and beyond. Inherent to this are co-creation of knowledge and joint development of future action projects to actually deliver concrete system integration projects / pilots and demonstrations as a spin-off of this phase of the program. learn? Focus on what your abstract will enable them to do in their own job. The new recently prepared research provides interesting ideas about the roadmap and leveraging the benefits of an integrated energy system, tested in the situation of three different energy hubs in the North Sea. This also sheds a light on the importance of international cooperation in linking energy systems and rolling out new energy infrastructure for electricity, hydrogen and CO2.
