Communications Project Officer

Start: Immediate

Duration: 2-year fixed term

WindEurope is the voice of the wind industry in Europe, working to fast-track the global transition to a clean energy future. As one of the largest trade associations in Brussels, with 85 staff and over 600 members, we are at the forefront of the energy transition. 

We are looking for a dynamic Communications Project Officer to join our Advocacy and Messaging Team. You will be driving international communications projects, executing cross-channel campaigns and supporting the team in all aspects of modern communications. 

If you have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, enjoy managing projects, coordinating stakeholders and effectively handling multiple tasks and timelines in parallel, we want to hear from you! You will report to the Press and Communications Manager and be an integral part of the Policy Division.


Main duties and responsibilities

  • You will support the WindEurope communications team in delivering high-impact projects and campaigns across European markets. 
  • You will set up campaign timelines, manage and monitor deliverables. 
  • You will coordinate media partners, member companies, service providers and other external stakeholders.
  • You will support our communication activities. This includes editorial tasks such as drafting press briefings, invitations, website and social media posts, etc. 
  • You will actively monitor press activities and spot communication opportunities.
  • You will represent WindEurope at external events in Brussels and elsewhere in Europe.

  • You are open to campaign-related travels and willing to discover Europe with us. 

Experience:

  • At least three years of professional experience.
  • A university degree in a relevant field, such as project management, political sciences or communications.
  • Experience in planning cross-channel communications campaigns is a plus. 
  • Experience in EU communication and policymaking is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of renewables and related policies and debates is a plus.

Languages:

  • Full proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. 
  • Other languages are an asset.
