Analyst - Digitalisation and Cybersecurity
WindEurope is the European Wind Energy Association actively promoting the utilisation of wind power in Europe and worldwide. We are looking for an analyst to lead WindEurope’s activities in wind energy digitalisation and cybersecurity.
In the role of WindEurope’s Analyst - Digitalisation and Cybersecurity your main responsibilities will be:
Technology and market intelligence
To develop WindEurope’s market Intelligence on the digitalisation and cybersecurity of wind farms by:
- working in close collaboration with WindEurope’s company members and external network, national associations and other stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities
- supporting the publication of reports, internal briefings, presentations
- supporting the development of WindEurope’s membership on these topics
Project management
To lead WindEurope’s Wind Energy Data Standard (WEDS) project by:
- coordinating the project’s activities, stakeholders’ contributions, meetings, planning, deliverables and dissemination of results
- developing technical content and contributing to the project’s analysis and deliverables
Advocacy
To lead WindEurope’s advocacy on digitalisation, data exchange and cybersecurity by:
- coordinating our members’ Task Force Digitalisation and Cybersecurity which includes stakeholders’ engagement, coordination of meetings, annual work programme and deliverables
- formulating policy recommendations and writing position papers for decision makers to improve political and legal frameworks
- establishing an extensive advocacy network across the EU institutions, national authorities, international organisations
- participating in external events and give presentations to promote WindEurope’s messages
- participating and actively contributing to WindEurope events
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree in science or engineering
- Candidates with background on wind energy technology or wind farm control, operation and maintenance will be prioritised
- Knowledge on data standards and data exchange in the energy sector is an asset
Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the energy sector including the development of technical reports and preparation of presentations
- At least 2-3 years of experience with the coordination of multiple-stakeholder groups and regular exchanges with the energy industry and policy makers
- At least 2-3 years of experience in project management
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Good technical knowledge of renewable energy technology or control, operation and maintenance
- Ability to coordinate multiple-stakeholder groups and to motivate their active engagement
- Ability to manage complex organisational and political relationships and find consensus
- Very proactive and problem solving attitude
- Analytical skills, rational and strategic approach
- Good understanding of standardisation processes and data exchange in asset operation
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Enthusiasm for meeting new people and building a network of internal and external stakeholders and working in a multicultural and international environment
- Strong ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Efficient time management and ability to prioritize
- Ability to work as a team player as well as independently
- Computer literate (MS Office, Outlook, website management, internet search engines)
Languages:
English (fluent written and verbal) is mandatory
Other languages are an asset to deal with external technical experts, subcontractors and members
