Wind and hydrogen for repowering Ukraine's post war recovery

When: Thursday, 27 April 2023, 11:15 - 12:00
Where: Markets Stage

Session description

It’s time to start rebuilding Ukraine now. Because of the war, Ukraine has already lost a considerable part of its power capacity. We need a new, decentralised power system with wind and other renewables at the core, a system that is less vulnerable for missile and drone attacks. Ukraine has a great potential for rapid rollout of wind capacity, along with other renewables. Ukraine’s export of green electricity and renewable hydrogen could benefit Europe.

The Ukrainian Wind Energy Association cordially invites you to a special session devoted to Ukraine’s post-war recovery “Wind & Hydrogen Powering Ukraine’s Energy Post-War Reconstruction”. It will take place at Markets Stage, on Thursday, April 27, 2023, @ 11:15-12:00

We will discuss future power system of Ukraine, Ukraine’s prospects for rapid wind deployment and how it affects the national energy grid. Will Ukraine be able to produce enough hydrogen for its home market and exports? What is necessary for attracting investments?
