Session description
To achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, we must work towards a world based on renewable energy. However, some sectors are not easily electrified - the so-called "hard to abate" sectors. Hydrogen and hydrogen-based fuels, also coined Power-to-X, can be used to indirectly electrify these sectors.
This session will showcase the potential of indirect electrification through Power-to-X in ships, aircraft and in the chemical industry and highlight how we can overcome the chicken-and-egg paradox that currently exists in the indirect electrification market.
