Biography

Bert van der Lingen (1955) is vice-chairman of the Netherlands Wind Energy Association (NWEA), reporting to the Non-Executive Board for Public Affairs and Internationalisation. As an experienced former diplomat with a demonstrated history of working in government administration, Bert has been working on topics related to the Energy Transition for many years, during his posting as Ambassador in Vilnius (Lithuania) and Consul-General in Antwerp (Belgium), where he was involved in public-private cooperation initiatives concerning port infrastructure, system integration and industrial decarbonisation. Skilled in International Relations, Energy Transition, Policy Analysis, and Diplomacy, Bert holds a Degree in Social Geography from the University of Utrecht.
