Biography

As Managing Director of BayWa r.e. Wind GmbH Marie-Luise is heading the German wind energy business of BayWa r.e. AG. BayWa r.e. AG is one of the largest renewables developers in Europe, with more than 4,500 employees, 5,000 MW installed and offices in more than 30 countries worldwide. Prior to joining BayWa r.e. in 2016, Marie-Luise was responsible for the Corporate Business Development of the ‘Fraunhofer Gesellschaft’ in the area of Applied Energy Research, whereas before she was with the juwi group for almost eight years holding several senior roles such as Managing Director or Head of Central and Northern Europe. Marie-Luise studied Political Sciences, Journalism and Languages in Mainz and Lisbon and holds a PhD in International Politics from FU Berlin.
