Biography

Over a 15-year career in the renewable sector, Azahar has achieved considerable success leading and strategically originating businesses across different geographies. Prior to joining Ventient Energy, Azahar was Business Development Director for Grupotec, where she started the International Business Development unit and significantly contributed to the transition of the group from a pure EPC company to a renewable energy growth and development engine. Notably, Azahar originated and successfully developed a pipeline of more than 1GW throughout Europe and Latin America, establishing a development franchise with a focus in the Spanish and Italian PV markets. Azahar also worked for six years at SunEdison, as Business Development Director for the UK, France, Brazil, Mexico, and Central America. While there, she gained significant international experience in leading and building teams, originating deals, and developing projects involving diverse renewable technologies. As Head of Organic Growth at Ventient, Azahar is responsible for the definition and implementation of business development strategies, establishing strategic partnerships, acquiring brownfield assets, and developing projects from scratch to ready to build, including the hiring of local teams.
