Head of Offshore Floating Wind, Corio Generation

Biography

After 24 years at Equinor having led many teams, Sonja moved to Corio as Head of Offshore Floating Wind in early 2023. Throughout her career to-date, she has gained substantial experience within project development, operations and maintenance and executive management, building extensive knowledge of the market and full value chain. Based out of Norway, she led renewable strategy and innovation and was responsible for floating wind project development at Equinor. She was also previously Plant Manager for the world’s first floating windfarm (Hywind Scotland - 30 MW) and a fixed-bottom windfarm (Dudgeon - 402 MW).
