Biography
Jan Friedrich is a Postdoc at ForWind and the Institute of Physics at the University of Oldenburg. He is currently working on improved stochastic inflow turbulence models that take into account the occurrence of extreme wind gusts in a statistical sense and develops reconstruction methods of wind field from real-world measurement data (LIDAR or met mast). After receiving his Ph.D. from the Ruhr-University of Oldenburg in 2017 on fundamental aspects of turbulence flow he did his first Postdoc at the Ecole Normale Superieure in Lyon as a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He returned for a second Postdoc at the University of Oldenburg where he is currently finishing his habilitation.Presentations
