Biography

Ms. Jahnavi has been working in the field of fluid dynamics and turbulence for more than 6 years. She joined GE Renewable Energy in 2021 as a Lead Engineer Aerodynamics. Her work majorly involves improving modeling efforts to better predict the wind resource and she works closely with the end-users for better methods development and adoption. She has a Ph.D. in fluid mechanics from Ecole Polytechnique and ONERA where she studied large-scale structures in turbulent shear flows. She has received Amelia Earhart Fellowship and Charpak Fellowship during her studies. She has experience in both experimental and computational fluid dynamics, mainly focusing on understanding flow physics in different kinds of turbulent flows. She is passionate about contributing towards wind energy and sustainable living.
