Biography

Amilcar joined DNV in 2008, he is based in Spain and his work is a reference to wind energy in the European and Latin American markets. He is a blade expert with an extensive track record of investigations on blades and Wind Turbine catastrophic events. Currently is leading also the Investigations Services for Southern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. He is a Mechanical Engineer, M.Sc on Renewable Energies, and GL certified inspector with significant experience in wind turbines and manufacturing facilities inspections of all the main world technologies of the wind industry. His past works include post-mortem inspections, blade inspections, accident investigations, manufacturing facility inspections, support for due diligence, visual inspections, vibration analysis, endoscopes, and thermography. He is well instructed in the all mentioned areas and in several times, in the framework of RCA investigations, he has been appointed as a court expert during legal processes.
