Performance gain through advanced seal design
When: Tuesday 25 April, 11:45-12:45
Where: Meeting Room 181, Level 1
Open to: all registered participants with additional registration here
This session outlines current and future performance challenges faced in turbine design, and will look at how advanced sealing is being developed to overcome these.
The topics of discussion will cover:
- Advances in main bearing configurations and how sealing innovation can facilitate these.
- How bespoke seal designs provide gains in performance.
- How sealing options can be key to meeting future challenges in turbine design including reductions in cost, weight, and maintenance requirements.
Following the session, attendees will have clearer insight into future design opportunities and how early collaboration with seal manufacturers can help shorten time to market. If you would like to attend, please send a request to James Walker.
