Fostering Social Acceptance for Wind Power
WISE Power aims at significantly improving local engagement and supporting wind energy deployment whilst enhancing local communities’ participation in wind energy projects. The project has a strong focus on alternative financing – such as community and cooperative funding of wind farms – as a method to enhance social engagement and, ultimately, acceptance. Ultimately, the project wants to decrease lead time for wind farms projects and increase the share of wind in the power electricity mix.
