All registration fees are listed in Euro and include 19% German VAT.
(WindEurope reserves the right to amend the listed prices should the prevailing rate of VAT be increased or changed.)
1 Member’s price is reserved exclusively for those companies that pay a direct membership fee to WindEurope.
2 Academic: Registration requires an official letter from the institution confirming the full-time employment status. This document should be uploaded during the registration process. Without this document, WindEurope reserves the right to proceed with regular registration and to charge the corresponding registration fee.
3 Student: Registration requires proof of status, i.e. either a copy of a valid 2016-2017 student ID card or an official letter from the educational institution, confirming that the registrant is a full-time student at the time of the event. This document should be uploaded during the registration process. Without this document, WindEurope reserves the right to proceed with regular registration and to charge the corresponding registration fee.
* 1-day registration fee allow you to attend the summit for just 1 day and you can select the day of your preference. It is NOT permitted to cumulate 1-day passes. If you wish to attend the summit for 2 days, you have to purchase a 3-day pass.
Gala dinner with Fatih Birol
The WindEurope Gala Dinner will take place at the Mehr! Theater from 19:30 on Thursday, 29 September. Participation in the Gala Dinner is not included in the summit registration fee and tickets must be purchased separately.
Each ticket costs 150 euro per person and can be puchased in the following ways:
- – As a standalone item through the online shop
- – On site at any of the registration areas
- – As an option (for registered summit participants)

What the registration fee includes

Speaker/Poster Presenter registration
Speakers and poster presenters who take part in the summit programme are entitled to reduced registration fees. If you register with the reduced price and later cancel your presentation, WindEurope reserves the right to charge the full amount for your registration. Speakers and poster presenters will be contacted directly by the Conference Secretariat with instructions on how to register. For more information, please contact: [email protected].
You will receive your registration confirmation and e-ticket with a barcode by e-mail once you have completed your online registration. Please print your e-ticket and bring it with you to the event.
If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail in your inbox, please check your spam folder. If you still do not see the confirmation e-mail, please contact the Registration Secretariat at [email protected].
Badges and material may be picked up onsite at the venue and will NOT be mailed in advance. Registration desk will be located on the first floor (Foyer) in the CCH-Congress Center Hamburg (Am Dammtor/Marseiller Straße, 20355 Hamburg, Germany) during the following hours:
- Monday, 26 September, 14:00 – 18:00
- Tuesday, 27 September, 07:30 – 18:00
- Wednesday, 28 September, 07:30 – 18:00
- Thursday, 29 September, 07:30 – 18:00
WindEurope Summit 2016 registration prices are subject to German VAT. All rates listed include VAT.
Registration to WindEurope events falls into the exception foreseen at the article 52 a) of the EU VAT directive 2006/112/CE: ‘Article 52: The place of supply of the following services shall be the place where the services are physically carried out: (a) (…), scientific, educational, (…) or similar activities, including the activities of the organisers of such activities and, where appropriate, ancillary services; (…)’. Therefore, even if your organisation is VAT registered, WindEurope has to apply local VAT and pay this VAT to the German Authorities.
Please note that VAT paid by companies and other taxable entities can only be reclaimed if the client’s VAT number is mentioned on the invoice. If applicable, please fill out your company’s VAT number in the corresponding field on the registration form.
The German VAT number for the WindEurope Summit 2016 is: DE 254 555 418.
Invitation letter/Visa requirement
An invitation letter will only be provided to participants who have registered and paid the required registration fees in full. Participants who need an official invitation letter in order to obtain a visa should send their request to the WindEurope Registration Secretariat with the following information: registration number, first name, last name, birth date, country of origin, passport number, passport issue date and passport expiry date.
Please note that WindEurope will not be able to contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office on behalf of a participant. The invitation letter does not financially obligate WindEurope in any way. All expenses incurred in relation to the event and to obtaining a visa are the sole responsibility of the participant. WindEurope does not accept any responsibility for travel, accommodation and/or other costs incurred due to the rejection of a participant’s visa application.
Invitation letters are sent by e-mail. If original invitation letters are required, please note that they will be sent by regular mail. In case an express delivery is needed, the participant shall arrange pick-up of the document on his/her own and will be responsible for all associated costs. WindEurope does not assume any costs for express delivery.
WindEurope will grant visa invitation letters up to four (4) weeks prior to the event date. Within four (4) weeks to the event date visa invitation letters cannot be guaranteed.
Should the VISA application be denied or not approved in time to attend the event, WindEurope will refund the full registration fee if and only the participant provides the WindEurope Registration Secretariat with an official document from the concerned Embassy/Consulate rejecting the visa and that the application was submitted in due time. Please note that a notification sent to WindEurope after the event will not be accepted.
