Technology Platform Operational Programme Wind
As a follow-up to the WindSec project, TOP Wind aimed at ensuring the proper functioning of the European Wind Energy Technology Platform (TPWind). TOP Wind played an essential role in the achievement of the TPWind goals. More specifically, it enhanced communication within the wind energy sector, improving its visibility and impact; it spread information on relevant R&D achievements; it developed strategic pathways for the growth of the sector (such as the implementation of the European Wind Initiative, a long-term, large-scale programme for supporting wind energy R&D, developed by TPWind in cooperation with EU Institutions and Member States, and launched in 2010).
