Interview with Ali Inal, Managing Director of Senkron Digital

This month, we sat down with Ali Inal, Managing Director at Senkron Digital to discuss their role as a trusted provider of digital and cybersecurity services for wind asset operators, their core offerings, and why the future relationship between operators and digital players needs to shift.
Can you tell our readers a little about your organisation?
Senkron Digital is a Dutch technology company that helps renewable energy and critical infrastructure operators run smarter through intelligent energy optimisation and OT cybersecurity services.
With active operations across 12 countries and regional teams located in Amsterdam, Venice, Istanbul, and Dubai, we deliver digital solutions that keep our clients’ energy flowing, assets optimised, and infrastructure protected.
Our core offerings include OnePact – a digital suite that optimises renewable energy operations with AI – and CyberPact, our OT cybersecurity service designed to enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure.
What are the most exciting developments you have seen in the wind industry?
We’re witnessing a strong convergence: rapid asset growth meets increasing operational complexity. The good news? With smarter data and intelligent software, operators can stay ahead.
AI-driven forecasting, predictive diagnostics, and integrated grid insights are no longer futuristic concepts – they are becoming baseline expectations. What excites us most is seeing renewable energy operators transition from reactive to predictive modes of operation while building a digital foundation for long-term resilience.
What changes would you like to see in the wind industry?
We would like to see deeper collaboration between digital players and operators – not as vendors and customers, but as partners.
Too often, technology is seen as a product rather than a route to value. We need to move from tech transactions to real trust, where digital services are shaped around operational outcomes, not the other way around. This mindset will accelerate adoption, mitigate risk, and generate real ROI throughout the lifecycle.
Going forward, what role do you see your organisation playing in the future development of wind energy?
Our role is straightforward yet crucial: to ensure operations are reliable, secure, and future-ready.
As energy markets evolve and regulation tightens, especially regarding cybersecurity and AI, our clients need more than just dashboards and alerts. They require actionable intelligence, trustworthy security, and partners who truly understand the pressure they face.
That’s where Senkron Digital comes in: combining industry expertise, software solutions, and ongoing support to help them move forward.
How has WindEurope membership benefited your organisation?
WindEurope has been an essential platform for us. As a relatively young brand, being part of this ecosystem has allowed us to gain visibility, credibility, and access to invaluable conversations.
While we didn’t secure a speaking slot this year, we appreciate the transparency and the opportunity to contribute through this bulletin; it’s a stepping stone to deeper engagement.
If we look ten years ahead, what do you hope to have achieved?
By 2035, we aim to be the trusted partner for digital trust in renewable energy and critical infrastructure across the EMEA, APAC, and Americas regions. Not by selling more features, but by standing for reliability, resilience, and real-world results. If we do our job well, our clients won’t just recognise our brand; they’ll rely on it. That’s the kind of impact we’re striving for.
