Juan Amate is Head of Offshore Technology at Iberdrola Ingeniería y Construcción, where he has been working since 2004 coordinating large marine R&D projects like Ocean Líder (30M€ and a 15M€ grant) and Flottek where TLPWIND floating concept has been developed obtaining PCT patents award for the platform & Semi-Submersible “Transport & Installation” Barge. Also, he has been coordinating TLPWIND activities in TLPWIND UK, EEA Grants and FP7 Leanwind R&D projects, as well in the recently launched LIFES50+ where TLPWIND will be upscaled at 10 MW. He performed at EWEC2010 giving a presentation on Offshore Wind´s access & transfer systems.
