Sessions

Preserving marine biodiversity

Happy Coexistence

When: Wednesday, 27 November 2019, 16:15 - 17:45
Where: A11

Session description

As marine industries are expanding, offshore space is becoming limited in the near-shore waters of Northern Europe. Spatial interconnections and industry boundaries are being drawn in relation to other human activities as well as to marine biodiversity.

  • How can we explore the potential for combined use of marine space with other marine based industries
  • How can offshore wind farm development reduce impacts on - or even contribute to preserving - marine life?
