This session will look at which materials and components are recycled from a decommissioned turbine.

  • Typically 80-85% of a decommissioned wind turbine is recyclable (mainly steel/copper/aluminium/iron).

  • Where does this recyclable material go?

  • What are the challenges and practical solutions?

  • How can we maximise the use of recycled content in new turbines?
