EPSRC Supergen Wind has been the UK Research Councils’ flagship programme of research in Wind Energy since 2006.

It was initially charged with re-establishing a strong UK academic base in Wind Energy research. The third phase of the programme, 2016-2019, has built on and advanced the strong industrial and policy linkages, created during the earlier phases, with the focus on offshore wind. Supergen Wind’s research scope is organised into three broad themes related to Planning and Consenting, Design, Manufacturing and Installation, Operation & Maintenance and Decommissioning.

SUPERGEN Wind is hosting this event to showcase the highlights and outputs of this outstanding research programme, and to present an overview of the exciting new and ongoing wind energy innovation projects and collaborations underway in the UK. The programme will include a mix of stimulating presentations with broad appeal across the three themes.

Please make sure you add this important event to your agenda for a chance to listen to leading wind energy experts talk about our current systems level approach to meeting future wind energy challenges and opportunities.
