Senior Researcher, DTU Wind Energy
BiographyDr. Kitzing has been working with investments in renewable energy, and especially wind energy, for more than 12 years. She is currently a senior researcher at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), in the Energy Economics and Regulation Group. She is educated as Wi-Ing. in Environmental and Energy Management at the University of Flensburg and holds a PhD in Energy Economics from DTU. She has spent five years working in the energy industry with RWE AG and Ørsted (formerly DONG Energy), where she facilitated investment decisions in energy projects. She has received best research paper and best poster awards for her research in risk implications of energy policy instruments. She has initiated and scientifically coordinated the H2020 project AURES (auctions for renewable energy support). Dr. Kitzing is board member of EERA JP Wind, and collaborator in the IEA TCP Wind Task 26 on Cost of Wind.
