Senior Scientist, DTU Wind Energy
BiographyDr. Nikolay Dimitrov is a Senior Researcher at DTU Wind Energy. He has been working in the Wind Energy industry for more than 10 years, and has been doing research at DTU Wind Energy since 2013. He has a Ph.D. in structural reliability of wind turbine blades, and his current scope of work involves applied statistics and probabilistic methods for the purpose of lifetime assessment, structural integrity, fault assessment, risk-based operation & maintenance. Particular scientific interests include Machine Learning applications for design optimization and for fault detection and prediction, as well as risk-based decision modelling. He is currently coordinating the DTU Wind Energy internal work group on digitalization.
