Aures II Team Member & PhD Student, DTU Wind Energy
BiographyMak started his PhD studies at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in November 2018, and he researches the impact of auctions on financing conditions for renewable energy projects and works on the AURES II project. Before joining DTU he worked in international development, energy policy research and consultancy for four years. Among other he worked for UNDP Croatia on citizen energy and crowdfunding and Joanneum Research from Graz on cooperation mechanisms and low carbon development pathways. Besides this is a co-founder of Starfish Energy, an research company working on renewable energy in Southeast Europe and based in Zagreb. Mak obtained his M.Eng and M.Sc diplomas from a joint master in material flow management held at University of Applied Sciences Trier and Ritsumeikan APU University in Japan. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Zagreb. Mak is also an alumnus of European Forum Alpbach and One Young World.
