Dr. Abdollah Malekjafarian received the B.E. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Semnan University, Iran in 2007 and 2010, respectively. He finished his PhD in Civil Engineering at University College Dublin in 2016. His PhD focuses on drive-by bridge health monitoring using the response measured on a passing vehicle. He is currently a research scientist in the school of Civil Engineering at UCD since June 2016. He has recently been awarded €72,256 from Science Foundation Ireland for a project entitled Dynamic soil-structure interaction modelling for the optimisation of offshore wind turbines. The project is a collaboration between UCD School of Civil Engineering and Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) Ltd., a specialist geotechnical engineering consultancy based in Dublin. He is author and co-author of 49 publications including 1 book chapter, 19 peer-reviewed ISI journal articles and 29 conference papers.
