He was born in 1979. In 2000 was an analyst at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney in London and Lisbon, having subsequently, between 2002 and 2004, held the position of financial analyst in Citigroup’s Investment Banking division in London.
Left Citigroup in 2004 to enter into a MBA program at INSEAD in Singapore and France in 2005.
In 2006 assumed the role of Project Manager in EDP Group M&A and Corporate Development team having participated, among others, in the acquisition by EDP of Horizon Wind Energy in the US in 2007 and in the incorporation and subsequent Initial Public Offering (“IPO”) of EDP Renováveis in 2008.
In 2009 was invited to become Chief of Staff for EDP’s CEO, position held until early 2011.
In 2011 was appointed Head of EDP Group M&A and Corporate Development having led innumerous transactions with an aggregate value of ~€18Bn in 12 geographies as well as responsible for supporting the definition of EDP Group Strategic Plans. He is also a member of EDP Group Investment Committee.
In 2017 was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Europe & Brasil of EDP Renováveis.
He holds a master’s degree in Business and Administration from Faculdade de Economia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a MBA degree from INSEAD.
