Session description
Since our conference in Amsterdam in November 2017 corporates such as Novozymes and Novo Nordisk (in DK), Nestle (in Scotland) , have joined the ranks of Norsk Hydro, Apple, Google and others in seeking corporate renewable offtake to meet their energy needs. Against the backdrop of this increasing market this session will define what is meant by the different offtake structures (route-to-market, CfD, direct marketing agreements) and will discuss market developments and potential from the perspective of corporate offtakers, project developers and lenders.
Learning objectives
- What are the different forms of corporate offtake?
- What are the key concerns and key structuring features for lenders?
- What are the drivers for corporate offtake and to what extent is this market likely to expand globally?
- Do corporate PPAs provide a liquid and viable route for wind projects in a world without administered tariff support?
