Biography
Marc Oman is part of the business team responsible for Google's global data center deployment and energy strategy. Within this team Mr. Oman manages Google's European energy footprint. He structures energy supply contracts, infrastructure agreements and long-term renewable power purchase agreements (PPAs) that led Google to become 100% renewable in 2017. In Europe Google owns and operates data centers in Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Ireland, and recently acquired land to build additional DCs in Denmark, Luxembourg and Sweden.
Prior to Google Mr. Oman spent 5 years at Renewable Energy Systems ("RES") developing and financing renewable energy assets. He helped RES IPO a renewable YieldCo (TRIG) on the London Stock Exchange and was part of the international consortium that won the 500 MW Saint-Brieuc offshore wind tender in France.
Mr. Oman has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is based in Paris and is a dual French-American citizen.
