It is clear that onshore and offshore wind are instrumental in generating the low-cost, low-carbon power needed to meet government targets and climate obligations. At a time of changing policy frameworks, we open WindEurope Summit 2016 by addressing the opportunities and obstacles the wind energy industry will face in the years ahead.
Olaf Sholz, Mayor of the City of Hamburg, will provide the welcome address to Summit participants, followed by a keynote speech from the Vice-President in charge of the Energy Union, European Commission, Maroš Šefčovič.
WindEurope CEO, Giles Dickson will then chair a panel of CEOs of Europe’s leading wind energy companies to exchange views on Europe’s changing industry.
