TUESDAY, 27 SEPTEMBER 2016 11:30 - 13:00 TECHNOLOGIES FOR TRANSITION Room: Hall G1 |
Plenary |

Session description Energy markets are changing. In Europe, wind power spearheads the energy transition today and that is set to continue if innovation stays on track. As the technology matures and wind power covers a growing share of the electricity mix, the key to competitive edge increasingly lies in providing system solutions that are both cost-effective and contribute to a secure and well-functioning power system. A number of leading European wind energy manufacturers and suppliers are already developing these solutions. But they are facing ever stiffer global competition. In this session, industry leaders will outline their vision for the wind power industry, comment on current technology trends and present their view on how to maintain competitive edge in a time of transition.
