Fabian Schwack completed his training as precision mechanic at Drehtechnik Frecking, a company which performs the machining of pitch bearings. He subsequently studied mechanical engineering with a focus on development and simulation at the University of Applied Science Osnabrück. He completed his Masters degree on Wind Turbine Engineering at the Leibniz Universität Hannover. Since 2015 he is working at the Institute of Machine Design and Tribology (IMKT). He works on Highly Accelerated Pitch Bearing Tests (HAPT) together with IMO GmbH and the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy (IWES).
