Biography

My name is Colin Atkinson, I am from England where I live with my wife and children, but have worked for extended periods in Europe, Africa and the Middle East in heavy industry, construction, transmission industry, Oil and Gas and Wind energy for over 25 years in Quality, Health Safety and environment. Having worked for Client organisations, contractor and subcontractor so hope that I have a broad experience the challenges in many areas and phases of Asset development. I am currently responsible for Quality, Health and Safety for all of Vattenfall’s operating assets in Wind, Solar and Battery as part of an organisation which also has Nuclear, Hydroelectric, District Heating and legacy Coal and Gas sites. I have in the past been involved with various industry bodies related to skills and training, from apprenticeships to management training and see competence and a challenge in a growing and maturing industry. Standardisation and transferability are keen interests of mine in an industry where we rely on people being competent and behaving in a safe way.
