From the City Centre
The fastest, cheapest and most environmentally friendly way to reach the venue is by public transport.
- Bilbao’s Metro Line 2 runs from Basauri to Kabiezes. The Ansio metro station is right outside the event venue.
- We’ve worked with our partners to increase metro frequency during the event days.
- The trip from the city centre (via Moyua metro station) to the venue (via Ansio metro station) takes 15 minutes. A one-way ticket costs €1.70.
- You can also purchase a top-up Barik card for multiple metro journeys.

Arriving by train
There are several train connections between Bilbao and other cities in Spain:
- Train connection from Madrid is 5 hours;
- Train connection with Barcelona is just over 6 hours;
- There is a daily direct train from Bilbao to Vigo on the coast of Galicia.
When it comes to the local network, FEVE trains are heading to Santander and Euskotren trains are heading towards San Sebastián. There is a train connection to Hendaye, just across the border with France. Journeys on these local services cannot be pre-booked; just buy your ticket at the start of the journey.
The main railway station is Bilbao Abando, also known as Estación del Norte. This is the departure point for all long-distance Renfe trains. Bilbao Abando is adjacent to Concordia station, which is served by local trains (such as the FEVE).
From the Airport
Bilbao International Airport offers more than 600 flights a week, with direct connections to cities all over Europe.
From the airport you can reach the event venue (Bilbao Exhibition Centre – BEC) by public transport or by taxi:
By public transport
- Take the airport Termibus A3247 for 2 stops and get off at Moyua Square (you will now be in the city centre).
- To get to the BEC from here, walk to Moyua metro station and then take the metro for 7 stops, getting off at Ansio metro station.
- 3. Take the BEC exit and the venue will be right in front of you.
The whole journey from the airport takes around 45 minutes. The journey from Moyua (city centre) to the BEC is only 15 minutes by metro.
By taxi
A taxi journey from the airport to the centre of Bilbao takes 20 minutes, and should cost you around €25-30. There is a taxi rank right outside the entrance to the airport terminal.
