When: Tuesday, 25 September 2018, 15:30 - 16:45
Where: Room: Hamburg
Session description
The development and integration of new sensors and actuators into wind turbines paves the way for innovative control strategies that will contribute to improving power production and reducing fatigue, leading to LCOE reduction. This session will focus on advanced numerical tools and models used to support this trend by optimising sensor and actuator integration and efficiency.
Learning objectives
- Delegates will be able to explain why LIDAR Assisted Control can benefit power production and mitigate fatigue
- Delegates will be able to explain how the use of neural networks can contribute to developing control-feasible models
- Delegates will be able to explain how a fully integrated design provides optimised decision-making guidance during the product development phase.
