Biography

 Alessandro Boschi is a manager with 25 years of experience in the power sector at international level. He currently covers the position of Head of the Renewable Energy (RENEW) Division of the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg, where he is managing a team of experts in charge of the technical, economic and environmental appraisal of renewable energy and innovative low carbon technology projects applying for EIB financing. The activities of his team include also technical assistance, project monitoring as well as policy definition, preparation of sector papers and liaising with all key sector counterparts including the EU and other IFIs. Until 2008, before joining EIB, Mr. Boschi worked for 15 years for an international utility, his last role being the Head of Business Development in Bulgaria. Before Bulgaria Mr. Boschi developed an international expertise in the development of power and gas projects spanning from Latin America to the Middle East. He graduated in Electrical Engineering at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and has an MBA from the Bologna based ALMA-Profingest Business School.
